Controller alarms from connected stores go to Kalder’s 24/7 alarm desk, which calls your escalation list and your contractor when product is at risk.
Moving from E2 to E3.
Copeland’s E2 reached end of life in October 2024, and Copeland recommends moving to the E3. Most chains will run a mix of E2 and E3 stores for years. Kalder supports both, so stores keep the same alarm monitoring, analytics and reports before and after the controller changes, and nothing has to be replaced on Kalder’s account.
Secure remote access to E2 and E3.
In September 2025, security researchers at Armis disclosed ten vulnerabilities in Copeland E2 and E3 controllers, known as Frostbyte10. Copeland firmware 2.31F01 mitigates them. Keep controller firmware current, and never expose a controller directly to the internet.
Kalder Remote Connect reaches controllers through an authenticated gateway: each user signs in with their own account and can only reach the stores they are assigned, with no shared controller passwords.

Can I access a Copeland E2 or E3 controller remotely?
Yes. Kalder Remote Connect gives authorized users remote access to Copeland E2 and E3 controllers through their Kalder account. The remote access gateway checks each user’s store permissions before connecting.
Does Kalder work with Micro Thermo controllers?
Yes. Kalder supports Micro Thermo refrigeration controllers for remote access, alarm monitoring and KalderIQ analytics. Neelands has installed Micro Thermo systems in grocery stores for years.
Does Kalder work with Danfoss controllers?
Yes. Kalder supports Danfoss refrigeration controllers for remote access, alarm monitoring and KalderIQ analytics. Send us your model list and we will confirm each store before quoting.
Should we replace our E2 controllers with E3?
Copeland’s E2 reached end of life in October 2024 and Copeland recommends E3. Kalder supports both, so you can migrate store by store on your own schedule while monitoring continues unchanged.
